Vanilla Sponge Cake Without Oven

easu vanilla sponge cake

This is the recipe to use if you want to make vanilla sponge cake without using an oven. This recipe’s ingredients are straightforward and most likely already in your kitchen. The cake is fluffy, light, and moist, and it’s incredibly simple to make, even for a novice. To make a sponge cake without using an oven, follow the steps below.

How to prepare Vanilla Sponge Cake without an oven

Begin by cracking four eggs into a mixing bowl and whisking them until foam forms. Note that if you don’t thoroughly beat the eggs, your cake may have a raw egg smell (optionally you can use a blender to beat your eggs). Mix 1 cup powdered sugar into the eggs until all of the sugar is incorporated. Add 1 cup sifted all-purpose flour, 1 teaspoon baking powder, and 1/4 teaspoon salt in the same mixing bowl and thoroughly combine the ingredients using a spatula, making sure there are no lumps in the batter.

Add 1/2 cup melted butter to the batter and stir well to make it smoother. To give the cake a vanilla flavor, stir in 1/2 teaspoon vanilla extract and make sure there are no lumps in the batter. Now it’s time to move on to the next step with the batter.

Grease the inside of your baking pan with butter. Swirl a teaspoon of all-purpose flour into the baking pan to coat all sides, making sure to remove any excess flour. Pour the batter into the pan and tap it gently to release any air bubbles. Preheat a Kadai for 5 minutes on medium heat with 2 tablespoons of oil poured on it to prevent nonstick coating. Place a small stand inside the Kadai and carefully place the cake pan on it before covering it with the lid. On low heat, cook for 45-50 minutes.

You can check if your cake is ready by inserting a toothpick into it. The cake is done when a toothpick inserted into the center comes out clean with no cake stuck to it. Allow the cake to cool completely before removing it from the pan.
