How to prepare ultimate shrimp lo mein
Start by preparing the pasta. In a cooking pot, add some water and bring it to a boil. Add chicken bouillon and some salt to taste. Drop the pasta into the boiling water and cook for about 10 minutes or until it’s al dente. Remove the pasta from the heat and drain it as you prepare for the next step.
For the sauce—In a small bowl, add Hoisin sauce, soy sauce, honey, oyster sauce, sesame seed oil, and rice wine vinegar. Give it a good mix and set it aside.
To prepare the shrimp, heat your wok/pan to about medium to medium-high heat. Add Avocado oil to the pan followed by the shrimp. Sprinkle a little bit of salt and pepper on the shrimp and keep tossing them for about 4-5 minutes.
Remove the shrimp from the wok and using the same wok, drop in some garlic, minced ginger, broccoli, bell peppers, onions, and carrots. Saute the vegetables for about 6-7 minutes. Into the vegetables, add some green chopped onions, reintroduce the yummy cooked shrimp, and finally pour in the sauce.
Give it a good mix. Once everything is well combined, add the pasta and give it a final mix. You can garnish with sesame seeds or whatever you have on hand. Enjoy!
