In this recipe, I will show you how to make some super crunchy fried shrimp. These crunchy shrimp taste really great, and better than Popeyes hands down.
How to prepare super crunchy fried shrimp at home
To prepare, place 10 oz of red Argentine shrimp in a bowl. Take 1/3 cup of red-hot sauce, 1/3 cup of mustard, and 2 eggs and pour it on the shrimps, and give it a nice mix. Now it’s time for you to add the seasoning. Add 2 tablespoons of creole seasoning, 1 teaspoon old bay, 1 teaspoon garlic powder, and finally 1/4 teaspoon ground black pepper then give it a good mix until everything is well combined.
Once you’re done mixing, take a Saran wrap and cover the shrimp and let it sit for about 10 minutes.

In a separate bowl, add 1 cup of all-purpose flour and 3 tablespoons of corn starch and mix until it’s well combined. Now pour about 2 inches of vegetable oil into a wide heavy pot and let it start heating up. Heat the oil over medium heat until the oil reaches 350 degrees Fahrenheit.
Now take the shrimp and shake it off a little bit to drain any of the excess egg mixtures. Dredge the shrimp in the flour mixture and toss them into the hot oil in batches to avoid crowding the pan. Fry the shrimp for about 5 to 10 minutes or until they turn golden brownish on the outside. The shrimp looks so good and they are amazingly flaky and crunchy.
Once you’re done preparing your super crunchy fried shrimp, you can cut some lemon with some cocktail sauce or whatever you want to eat it with. I prefer eating my shrimp with cocktail sauce and some lemon juice. Enjoy!
