Spicy Creamy Shrimp Pasta

Spicy Creamy Shrimp Pasta

Today, I will show you how to make a delicious spicy shrimp pasta—I promise your friends and family are going to love this recipe.

How to prepare spicy creamy shrimp pasta

Let’s prepare pasta first.

To prepare, add a few cups of water to a pot, then season the water with one tablespoon of chicken broth and salt to taste. Cover the water and allow it to come to a boil.

Once the water starts to boil, add pasta and give it a quick stir then cover it and let it boil for about seven minutes.

Remove the pasta from the hot water. However, save about half a cup of pasta water—you’ll need it later for this recipe.

Let’s prepare the shrimp.

Spicy Creamy Shrimp Pasta

To prepare, add about a tablespoon of oil to the shrimp. To season the shrimp, add paprika, Italian seasoning, onion powder, garlic powder, cayenne pepper, and Cajun seasoning.

In a skillet, add about 2 tablespoons of unsalted butter and once the butter is hot, add the shrimp. Cook the shrimp for about a minute per side. Remove the shrimp and set it aside—Don’t overcook the shrimp since you’ll add it back into the pasta.

In the same skillet, add two more tablespoons of unsalted butter. Once the butter is melted add yellow onions, minced garlic, and tomato paste then cook for about three minutes. To get rid of the raw tomato paste taste, you can add a tablespoon of butter or oil and keep stirring.

To make it spicy, add some pepper flakes, cajun seasoning, and half lemon juice then stir. Now is the perfect time to add the pasta water you had set aside — though you could also use chicken broth. To make this a little bit healthy, add some spinach and heavy cream. You can now taste to see if the salt and pepper are enough. Add parmesan cheese and give it a stir. Once the cheese is melted you can add the pasta and keep stirring.

Finally, add the shrimp (including the juice from the shrimp) to the pasta and stir for a bit. Your spicy creamy shrimp pasta is ready to serve.
