Simple Eggless Donuts

Eggless Donuts Recipe

Today I will share with you how to make simple eggless donuts. Donuts are my eldest daughter’s favorite and I believe every kid loves them — including us adults. The recipe is so easy to make and the donuts are super soft and fluffy. Below are some ingredients that need to be used and the instructions as well.

How to prepare simple eggless donuts

To prepare, Add all-purpose flour, sugar, salt, and yeast in a mixing bowl and mix well to combine. Add milk to the mixture and knead the dough, if the dough looks too dry add 1 or 2 tbsp milk and knead for 3 to 4 minutes.  Add butter and knead well for 2 – 3 minutes until all the butter is absorbed into the dough. You can add butter while adding the milk but adding later ensures soft and nonsticky dough. Cover the dough and let it rise in some warm place for at least 2 hours or more.

Once the dough has doubled in size, punch it down add flour to the work surface, and roll the dough in 1/2″ thickness. Cut with a round donut cutter, if you don’t have a donut cutter take any large lid for the outer circle or a small lid for the inner circle. The best idea is to roll and flatten the dough in your palms and make a small hole in the center using your index finger.

Apply oil to your donuts and Cover the donuts again for 10 minutes. Fry the rested donuts in oil until it turns fluffy and changes color to brown then flip and cook the other side. Once done remove them and place them on a paper towel and let them cool down. When cooled roll them in cinnamon sugar mixture or dip them in chocolate, add some sprinkles and Enjoy.
