This buttercream frosting is so simple, creamy, and ridiculously delicious. It’s made with simple, easily available ingredients, like butter and vanilla, and it’s ready in just a couple of minutes.
This buttercream whips up super fluffy pretty quickly and is literally the perfect icing on the cake of any homemade treat. What’s more, it makes for a great base for other frosting flavors too. You can try adding different extracts like mint, lemon, etc. and a little food coloring.
Be sure to use a good-quality unsalted butter for excellent results. Good quality butter tastes great on its own and has high fat content. Make sure it’s unsalted as your frosting might end up tasting salty. Take your butter out of the fridge and allow to sit for about 30 to 60 minutes to soften it to room temperature.
