How to prepare honey butter old bay salmon
To prepare, start off by cutting the fillet into same-size slices and set aside.
For the seasoning, in a small bowl, add onion powder, garlic powder, seasoned salt, ground black pepper, paprika, and dry parsley. Give it a quick mix and set it aside.
Drizzle a tablespoon of olive oil on the salmon, flip it over and repeat on the other side.
Apply the seasoning generously to the fillet and run your hand over it to make sure the seasoning stick.
Add 2 tablespoons of unsalted butter into a preheated cast iron pan. Once melted, gently place your salmon and cook on medium-high heat. Cook for about seven to 12 minutes per side. Once one side turns golden brown, flip it over and allow the other side to cook. Once the salmon is cooked, remove it from the pan and set it aside.
Add ¼ cup pure honey and a teaspoon of old bay seasoning in the same pan. Give it a good mix. Grab your salmon and place it in the sauce. Baste the salmon with the sauce and your honey butter old bay salmon is ready to serve.
