  3. Add the milk mixture to the egg mixture and whisk to combine.
  4. Transfer the mixture to a large bowl and add in the flour in thirds, stirring between each addition.
  5. Transfer the dough onto a lightly floured surface and knead for about 5 minutes, until smooth. (The dough is ready if it bounces back up from an indentation if you gently poke it with a finger).
  6. Place the dough in a large bowl and lightly coat the dough with oil then cover the bowl with plastic wrap and allow the dough to rise in a warm place for an hour, or until doubled in size.
  7. Take the dough out and knead on a floured surface for 5 minutes until smooth.
  8. Then place the dough back in an oiled bowl and repeat with rise overnight in refrigerator.
  9. Roll out the dough on a floured surface until ¼ inch thick and cut out the doughnuts and donuts holes with a cookie cutter and piping tip.
  10. Melt enough shortening over medium heat to come up just 5 cm up on the side of a heavy frying pan. Heat the shortening to 190°C.
  11. Fry the donuts and donuts holes for 45 seconds on each side until they turn golden brown.

For the glaze:

  1. In a bowl, mix the powdered sugar, dry milk powder, vanilla extract and hot water until smooth.
  2. Strain the mixture through a sieve to remove any lumps.
  3. Then drizzle the glaze on your donuts.
  4. Serve and Enjoy!
