This is a simple no-knead best hoagie rolls recipe that you could make using ingredients that are probably already in your kitchen. Hoagie rolls are used to prepare hoagie sandwiches, and instead of buying these rolls from the store, you can easily prepare them at home by following simple directions.
How to prepare the Best Hoagie Rolls at home
To prepare, Add 1 1/2 cup of water to a mixing bowl. The water should be warm to the touch to help activate the yeast. Add 1 teaspoon of sugar and mix a little bit. In the mixture, add 1 tablespoon of Instant Yeast and let it sit for about 5-10 minutes until it hydrates. After the yeast has rehydrated, stir the mixture using a hand whisk and let it sit for additional 5 minutes or until the yeast is active. In the mixture, add 2 teaspoons of salt and 3 tablespoons of oil and mix that up.
In the mixture, add 3 1/2 cups of bread flour or all purpose flour and mix to form a dough. Cover the dough with a cloth for about 20 minutes to allow the dough to rehydrate.

Place the dough on the surface and roll it out then cut the dough into 8 equal pieces
After 20min uncover the dough and start a series of stretch and folds where you just pick the dough up, stretch it, and fold it over — this takes the place of kneading. Stretch and fold four times and wait for 10 minutes between each stretch and folds. Everytime you stretch and fold the dough starts to feel a little better. This process is a little easier than kneading but it does take a lot of time. When done cover the dough and let it rise for 1 hour or until it looks like it has doubled.
Punch the dough to remove the excess air bubbles. On a flat surface, lightly sprinkle some bread flour, place the dough on the surface and roll it out then cut the dough into 8 equal pieces. Take 1 piece and stretch it out, roll one end into the middle and the other end into the middle and roll it up to make sure its sealed well. Repeat for the rest of the pieces — when done let them rest for 15 minutes.

Using a blade, cut once slit right down the center of each roll
After 15 minutes, take each piece of dough and flatten it out then fold them over in a roll. Put all the pieces in a baking tray lined with parchment paper and cover them to let them rise for 45 minutes. Using a blade, cut once slit right down the center of each roll Bake in a preheated oven at 400° Farenheight for about 20 minutes.
